Everybody knows that nobody's perfect, but ever since the holidays, I've been strugglin' with my motivation . The weird part, I have no idea why. This was one of the best and healthiest holiday season I've ever had. It was like the motivation was drained out of me. Then, this past Sunday, I was in Walmart and ran into my longtime friend. This conversation brought my motivation back.
You see, we worked together at a local grocery store and there for a while, he walked, talked, and lived just like Stone Cold Steve Austin. He was never the thinnest guy in the group, but he was fit. A few years ago, he broke up with his the love of his life. When she left, he pretty much stopped livin'. He didn't go out, he didn't socialize. He just sat at home, eatin', and drinkin' the pain away . Needless to say, his health suffered severely. He ballooned up to the point I didn't recognize him. Of course, I was worried about him. About five months ago, we were textin' each other about Monday Night Raw and, for some reason, he started talkin' about how he wanted to get back into shape. I encouraged him to give DDP Yoga a shot. I told him how it has changed my life and, if he was serious about it, he could have success too.
He did! He has lost 50 lbs and has made major changes in his life. No more fast food and sodas. No more feelin' bad about his life. It was awesome! We talked for a good 15-20 mins about what he has accomplished. He's takin' it one day at a time and is challangin' himself little by little each day.
What he didn't realize, he was returnin' the favor and helpin' me. He was fired up and that fire lit mine. He's gotten my mind off it's ass.
That what I love about the Team DDP Yoga family, we continually inspire and support each other. Sometimes, without even knowin' it.
